Kidddie Park and Ice Cream...

Today we did a playdate with some friends.  We started out at the Memphis Kiddie Park.  The park is for kids under 52 inches and there are 11 or 12 rides.  Adults can go on 3 rides with kids: roller coaster, train and carousel.  The train is a bit bumpy and hard to squish into.  I would suggest waiting until your kids want to go on by themselves.  Each ride is one ticket, and tickets vary in price depending on how much you buy.  A book of 25 is $25.25, and single tickets are almost $2 each.  They never expire, so it is best to just buy the book.  There are coupons in the book for many things, including free popcorn.  You are not permitted to bring in your own food, and theirs is really overpriced...I paid $1.75 for a small drink for my kids.  Memphis Kiddie Park is located at 10340 Memphis Ave. in Brooklyn, Oh.

Kaylee and Lindsey Rating: 5/5-the girls love the kiddie park, although today it was extremely hot.  It is not usually too crowded and so there are rarely lines.  It is also a great place to have a birthday party.

Following the kiddie park, we went on a picnic in a park in North Olmsted, but to be honest, I am not sure of the name of it.  It is located on West Park, which is off of Lorain Road.  There are swings, a gazebo and some play strucutres, plus two covered pcinic areas.

Kaylee and Lindsey Rating: 5/5...better on cooler days, but we came here last year and the girls had a great time.

Following the park, we decided to go to Malley's for ice cream.  Malley's is known for their chocolates, but some locations also have ice cream.  The one in North Olmsted has a carousel that you can sit on to eat your ice cream, and it really moves!  It is located at 23473 Lorain Rd. in North Olmsted.

Kaylee and Lindsey Rating: 5/5....what can I say it is ice cream and a carousel...what kid wouldn't love it??
